Greetings Devils,
The contract with Humphrey's Half Moon
Inn & Suites has been signed and I am faxing it today, so you will be able
to call and make reservations at the reduced rates starting tomorrow
morning (Feb. 28th). This is the only hotel which we have special
arrangements made for reduced rates. It is the closest to our venue and
the nicest. There are several other options, which you will find on the
"Hotel Information Page"
of our website. You can take a look at the Humphrey's Half Moon site if
you are interested as well: www.halfmooninn.com .
I did not sign a contract with any of the other hotels, so if you want to
stay at one of them, you are on your own to find the best rates and make
reservations. Here are the details regarding Humphrey's contract with us:

We have blocked out thirty rooms at these
prices, if more people want to stay there and they still have rooms, they
will get the same price. I had to guarantee the rooms in order to hold
them, and I figured that approximately thirty couples would be interested
in staying at Humphrey's. If there are more, that is fine and if there are
less the rooms will be given up to the general public after the deadline
date. There are plenty of lower cost options for lodging and several of
our alumni have moved to the San Diego area.

These rates are based on a minimum 2
night stay. If you are only going to stay one night, you will need to make
other arrangements on your own. Since some people mentioned that they are
interested in making a mini vacation of this event, some of the rooms are
booked for four nights (Thursday 8/1 - Monday 8/5). When you do book your
rooms, please send me an e-mail and let me know which kind of room you
booked and for what days so that I can keep track of what we have
available. if it looks like we will need more rooms I can make adjustments
early on.
Rooms Available:
These are "per night" charges but require a 2 night minimum stay.
Standard, 1 King Bed
($159.) 6 have been reserved for the four night stay and 13 for the two
nights only (Fri/Sat)
Standard, 2 Queen Beds
($169) 5 have been reserved for the four night stay and 13 for the two
nights only
Deluxe Junior Suite Sleeper
Sofa and 1 King Bed ($199.) 3 have been reserved for the four night stay
Marina View Executive Suite,
2 queen beds & Sofa Sleeper ($249) One reserved for the 4 night stay.
These are excellent prices for a quality
waterfront resort in the midst of summer.
Here is some information on what the
rooms have:

All rooms have refrigerators, in room
movies/Nintendo, iron & ironing boards, blow dryers, mirrored closet
doors, fresh brewed coffee makers, voicemail, telephone with data ports,
Am/FM alarm clock radio, separate vanity area & sitting area.

The King Mini Suite is considerably
larger and also has a balcony or patio, a queen sofa sleeper plus king
bed, ceiling fans, TV in bedroom and living room and a wet bar.

The Executive Suite has a kitchen
equipped with a full size refrigerator, four burner stove top, microwave,
cooking utensils, place settings, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker
etc., a pocket door to separate the living and bedroom. sleeper sofa plus
two queen beds & it over looks the harbor.

of 1972 Thirty Year Reunion to be eligible for the reduced rate. You must
hold the room with a credit card guarantee for the first night's room and
tax due by July 2, 2002.
If by JUNE
2, 2002 we have not guaranteed at LEAST 50% of
the rooms, the remaining rooms will be released. If we have met the 50%
requirement, the remaining rooms will be available until July 2, 2002.
After that date, any reservations may be charged the prevailing rack rate.
Requests made after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space and rate
availability.
In other words, if you want to stay at
Humphrey's RESERVE YOUR ROOM before June 2!!!
