happened to you since high school
(Feel free to tell us THE WHOLE STORY):
My mother remarried in the middle of my
Junior year and we moved away, so I was not able to attend my senior year at
Pomona. I graduated mid term from Alta Loma High and went on to Chaffey College
for 2 years. I dropped out when first husband wanted to move to the San Diego
area, then he left me for another woman. I moved back up to Pomona where I met
my husband Dennis. We were married for 28 years. I now have a very successful
custom canvas business. I do a lot of work for LA county Fairplex, the vendors
that attend there and other fairs. I have done work on race cars, covers and pit
enclosures. Custom covers for show cars. I have made just about anything you can
think out of canvas. I hold a C61, specialty contractor License and have done a
lot of Awning work. You can see some of my work all over the area. I love my
job. |

Married? Kids?
First marriage was a year after I graduated, but only lasted 2 years. We had one
daughter ,Danielle born in 1975. I remarried in 1977 To Dennis Sohm. We were
married for 28 years. We had one daughter Deniece born in 1979. Dennis past away
in July of 2005. I now have 5 grand children. Donalyn (1997) William (1999)
Donavyn (2000) and Dayla & Donya (both 2/13/2002)

Career? Job?
I have been in and out of the Canvas (sewing) business since college. Spent 15
years in the Apparel business as a production manager. Got back into the canvas
business in 1989. Started my own shop in 2000. I now run my business from my
home, specializing in custom canvas products. Love my work, I get to be very
creative.

live?
I live in Ontario, CA. We
moved to our house back in 1989.

Which of your
classmates
are you most curious about?
Everyone, I have been to busy working and raising my kids and grandkids, the
past was forgotten about. I tried to rekindle some of the memories at the
reunion, but with my girls attempting adulthood and my husband getting sick it
has kept me very busy the last several years.

Favorite song? Credence, "Crosby, Stills, Nash &
Young", Beatles

Comments:
For those of you that don't know about the Ward/ Bookout names. I
was born Brenda Bookout. My mother married when I was only 1,
therefore taking on the name Ward which I used through Jr. High.
When I started High school (at Pomona) I went back to my maiden name
Bookout. To confuse you even more, my first husband Was Don Ward, so
my name went to Ward for few more years.
