Tell us what's happened to you since high school
(Feel free to tell us THE WHOLE STORY):

Right after graduation, I went to San Jose State for two years and then found out that my California State Scholarship would pay for any school in the state so, I transferred to CCAC (Ca. College of Arts and Crafts). This was an exclusive and hideously expensive private art school in Oakland.  Boy, did I have fun at the States expensive. Berkeley was just down the street and it was the early 70's need I say more!

I graduated from there with a BFA degree. Which qualified me for very little. (See job description below).  In 1979, I moved to Saskatchewan, Canada, with my family.  My brother and Dad went farming and my Mom and I ran a small grocery store.  After a couple of years we sold the business, at a tidy profit and did other things.  Soon after I met a guy, who was honest and hard working (rare traits considering the men I had been dating! ) and decided to get married.  There followed in good time, kids and doing the MOM thing.  Life in Canada became a burden.  The economy was horrible, the taxes were obscene ( 50% of every dollar earned went to the government ), so in 1991 we all moved back to the good ol' USA.  It was a challenge starting over, but we did it.  All and all my life thus far has been quite an adventure...some good, some bad, but always an adventure.

Married? Kids?

I've been married for the past 18 years to the same man--imagine that! His
name is Terry Evans and he is a "muscle car" fanatic. This fact alone attests to my astonishment at still being married to this man. He works for the City of Las Vegas .
We have two kids. Brian is 17 and loves to play baseball. His team won the State Championship last year. He will be a senior in High School next year. Monica is 13, plays soccer and loves to talk on the phone. She will be in eighth grade in the fall.

Career? Job?

I've had several "jobs" since High School. Some of the more amusing include
being a hotel maid (lasted two days before I quit--too boring). Another job, was in a meat packing plant in Canada (lasted five years at that one, which was way tooooo long).  My favorite job was as a writer for an Arts Magazine, that lasted two years
and paid next to nothing.  Finally, I decided to get serious and establish a career. I went back to school in 1991, at UNLV and earned a Masters Degree in Education.
I am currently an Art Specialist and teach grades K thru 5.

Where do you live?

In a quiet neighborhood, with a big yard, where there is room for fruit trees, flower gardens and many of my husband's cars.  Recognize the place?  Some call it "Sin City" - but it's more commonly know as Las Vegas, Nevada.  Yes, people really do live here, all 2 million of us!  If you're in the neighborhood give me a call.  We're in the book under my husbands name.

Which of your classmates
are you most curious about?

Everyone naturally---I'm oh so nosey.

What was your favorite music then? Favorite song?

Motown - of course, was there anything else?  Well, I suppose there was. . .
the Beatles?

What is the best CD you've listened to recently?

Mostly whatever my kids have playing and it all sounds the same to me.
(we're old right!).  Actually, I love all kinds of jazz .

What is the best book you have read lately?

Read, what a luxury! Only have time in the summer. I liked the Red Tent and of course am waiting patiently for the 5th edition in the adventures of Harry Potter.

What is the best movie you've seen lately?

Minority Report.

Additional Comments:

Can't come to the reunion--damn.  I have family commitments in Canada at the
same time.  But hey, I probably talked more here that I would have at the reunion!
