Tell us what's happened to you since high school
(Feel free to tell us THE WHOLE STORY):

Wow, it really has been 38 years. It seems like yesterday we were exchanging hello's, doing our usual gossip in the halls on the way to class.

I was shocked to find how many of our classmates have passed.

As far as myself, well I have been busy with life in general. I am happy and in good health. God had a hand in that.

I did the usual Mt.SAC thing. Worked for L.A. County Schools for about 8-9 years, working with mentally and physically challenged students. I worked 12 years for the state of Texas . Lived in Abilene Texas working at the Abilene State school with  the severely retarded. Helped open a 2200 bed maximum security state prison. That was a real eye opening experience for this sheltered gal. I learned a lot about human nature, starting to understand why we humans make the choices we do.

For 32 years taught Dance Oriental (Classical Belly Dance) on the side. I  had alot of fun times and was able to see a great deal of the U.S.A vending my costumes participating in shows and seminars. Found out there are a lot of christian dancers and teachers out there. I don't dance professionally anymore, just enjoy teaching and making costumes for my students.

I took care of my wonderful parents for 10 years. During that time I dedicated my life totally to them. Six years of those 10 my Mom had dementia related Alzheimers condition. I became the Mom. If any of you have been through this know what I mean. She was quite the little lady and went out with dignity.

Married? Kids?

In those 38 years I was married 3 times before coming across my wonderful husband of three years. He is the one I know God intended me having. He is fun to be with, and we enjoy each others company. My X's were all good men, just not the one for me.

Never had kids, just wasn't in the cards for me. I have four dogs which have become my kids. I am an animal rights activist, trying to keep up on the latest through PETA and the Humane Society of the US as well as many other animal organizations. My main intention is "Spay and Neuter" education, while contributing to much tougher laws in "Animal Neglect and Cruelty"

Career? Job?

Right now, I suppose I am what you term as semi-retired although I am still active with my students and volunteer work.

Where do you live?

I live in San Antonio , Texas (NW area)

Which of your classmates
are you most curious about?

I would of course enjoy seeing everyone, however I would like to know what happened to Patti Ballew, Mike Case, Lori Norris, Barbie Bishop, Lisa Bustos, Georgieanna Wooten, and Connie Hamilton. I have somewhat kept up with Jeri Lee St.Clair, Sharon Garvey, and John Kelley.

What was your favorite music then? Favorite song?

Favorite music then was Jimi Hendrix (greatest guitar player of our time), Traffic (Stevie Winwood). I liked hard rock then and Classic Rock now.

What is the best CD you've listened to recently?

I have many favorite CD's I 'm diverse, and like Cairo Orchestra, Middle Eastern fusion, anything by Troika, Hossam Ramzy, Eddie Kochak. We listen to Jazz (Dave Brubeck) Duke Ellington, and anything from the "Big Band Era" I also enjoy voices like Sarah Brightman and Charlotte Church.

The last CD I listened to was The Best of Etta James (Blues).

What is the best book you have read lately?

Best book I read lately was 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper, I am currently reading The Apostle (thriller) by Brad Thor.

What is the best movie you've seen lately?

We don't go to the movies much. The best movie I saw lately was the "Bucket list". I 'm an old movie buff, esp. Film Noir.

Additional Comments:

In a 7 year period 29 family and close friends have passed, this has made me quite humble. We all have our paths to travel some paths are just shorter then others. We have our distinct ways of traveling in this path. I  know if we have God in our spirit and Jesus in our hearts it makes our journey much more comfortable. Take care and God Bless to all. If we have a 40th reunion, hope to be there.
