Tell us
what's happened to you since high school (Feel
free to tell us THE WHOLE STORY):
This year marks my 30th season in Visalia USD and my eighth year at El Diamante
HS. After spending 20 years at Golden West HS and two years before GW at Valley
Oak Junior High School, I felt it was time for a change. My son was about to
become a fresherperson and my daughter would be here after him. Aside from being
recruited by our first principal, the main reason I came to El D was because of
the Block Schedule! There is no better way to teach or to learn on this or any
other planet.
After I graduated from Pomona HS I went on to Mt. San Antonio College [AA Speech
Communications, 1974], Long Beach State [BA Speech Communications, 1976] and
finally CSU Bakersfield [MA Educational Administration, 1988]. I own a small
business called GoodSpeak Communications [since 1990] which specializes in
written and oral communication, sales and multi-media presentations and HS
stadium public address announcing [football and baseball; since 1990].
We own a fairly nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a mortgage, two dopey cats and
tons of yard work.

Additional Comments:
Not much to add other than my hair is
MUCH shorter [and gray, but it's still connected!] I am STILL a no -
good - tree - huggin' - liberal - pinko - commie - Obama supporting,
dyed-in-the-wool DEMOCRAT.
Some things never change
J
Finally, I dedicate this response to my musical mentor, Mr. Edward
Pratt. I loved that man and I was sorry to learn of his passing. He
taught me more than a love for all music, he taught me how to live,
how to care and how to be a man. Rest in Peace, my friend...my
teacher
