Tell us what's
happened to you since high school
(Feel free to tell us THE WHOLE STORY):
I attended UC Davis for two years before I
decided to go to school to become an X-ray Technologist. As luck would have it,
I met my future husband about two months before leaving UCD. We had a long
distance relationship while I spent one year in Fullerton before transferring to
a Stockton program for two more years.
Mike and I married in 1977 and settled back in his home town of Modesto in 1979.
Our two daughters, Katie and Chrissy, were born in 1981 and 1984. I was
fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom for twelve years, helping a lot at
their school. I also went back to Modesto JC to take classes in architectural
drawing (not on the computer in those days). That led to art classes in
watercolor. I really love watercolor painting, but I haven't kept up with it.
Someday....
I love watching my San Francisco Giants. Mike and I are big football fans,
especially going to UC Davis games. We've even timed some of our vacations to
"away" games. In Sept. 2011 we took a side trip to Bozeman, MT for a UCD vs.
Montana State game while we were vacationing in Yellowstone and Grand Teton
National Parks.
